How are natural diamonds made?
These diamonds are buried in the earth 
billion years ago and are prepared under 
extreme temperature and pressure. 
Because of volcanic eruption, these 
diamonds come up in the form of 
volcanic rock called kimberlite pipes 
which are further mined. Only 5%of 
kimberlite pipes comprise of diamonds

Laboratory-grown diamonds
There are two processes, namely high-pressure high temperature (HPHT) and chemical 
vapour deposition (CVD) for lab-grown diamonds. In HPHT diamonds are kept in the 
same condition as they are made naturally below the earth. The results produce 
diamonds which are crystal in shape.
 In CVD molecules of carbon-rich gases like methane or CO2 are broken down and are 
deposited on diamond seeds. Such procedures cater to square-shaped or tabular 
diamonds.
 Both the process takes less than one month for preparing diamonds. Typically the size 
of lab-grown diamonds are not more than a carat, but thanks to technological 
advancement you can see bigger sizes diamonds in the market.

Is it possible to find out the difference between natural and lab-
grown diamonds?
 No two diamonds are similar, whether they are natural or lab-grown. While talking 
about the difference between the organic and man-made diamond, it is impossible to
