Amazon India said on Tuesday that it had purchased 100 ventilators through
its global resources, so that they could be imported into the country
immediately. The company has worked with the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare to ensure that the ventilators are of technological change and 100
unit medtronic devices are checked for their compatibility and brought to India
immediately.
Amazon Global SVP and Country Head India Amit Aggarwal said that we are
doing more and are committed to supporting our country in the fight against
COVID-19.
India is recording a record number of COVID-19 cases every day
which has put tremendous pressure on the health infrastructure of
the country. According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, the
number of new coronavirus infections touched 3,23,144 and 2,771
