Mahatma Gandhi, also known as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was an Indian lawyer, politician, social activist, and writer who spearheaded the anti-British nationalism struggle in India. He was born in Porbandar, India, on October 2, 1869, and died in Delhi on January 30, 1948.
