today. In the blink of an eye, new competitors
develop, products similar to yours are free,
and before you know it, it’s a race to the
ground . Here are some basic tips you can
take to raise your sales performance, discount
your cost of selling, and protect your survival.
It's just as important to be able to listen
intently, think critically, and to logically
apply effective sales techniques.

1. Listen
It's elegant hard to gratify a customer if you
don't know what they need luckily, most of
the time, all you'll have to do to figure this
out is to simply listen. This isn't hard at the
starting of your pitch, ask a customer what
you can help with and let the customer
describe her problem or desire.
2. Clarify your plan.
Start by understanding your business slot .
What do you do best? Who demand what you
do? How do you best way these prospects? How
much are they promote to pay? If these
questions are not answered , crusade at the
top for accuracy and vision.
3. Sell to customer demands.
Always accept your prospects will buy only
what they want. How can you assure them of
that wants ? maintain the features of your
product or service that less costs and solve
problems for the customer. Sometimes you
can transfer your wares.
4. Purpose
Know both what to do and why you’re doing it
at every step along the way. Who are you
targeting and why? What are you going to tell
them and why? What are you going to ask
them and why? What is your proposal going
to look like and why? When are you going to
ask for the order? If you don’t feel sure of
yourself at every step of the selling process,
get some training or guidance.
5. Give your full attention
When a customer is considering making a
purchase, you want to give the impression
that you're available to complete any
demands or answer any questions that may
proceed. Whenever possible, interact with
customers on a personal, onetoone basis,
returning to your other duties only when the
job is done.
6. Know your field
Ideally, not only should you know the products
and/or services you're selling like the back of your
hand, but also those of your competitors. If you
know this information, you'll be able to make
comparisons that cast your product or service in
the best light possible and your competitors' in a
less favorable light. You'll also be able to
intuitively recommend certain products based on
your customer's unique situation.
7. Work on the basics
Even the best of the best have room for
improvement. Make a plan to improve your
weaknesses, and set goals to force yourself to
do the things you don’t like to do. Be more
creative in your prospecting, fact finding, and
presentation skills. Imagine the perfect
salesperson and compare yourself to the ideal.
