Standards Wireless Charging? • Qi is a Standard that has been developed by WPC for inductive charging and range of Qi is 40mm. • Powermat is also a standard, It was used by some retailers like Starbucks but it was not cross compatible. • Powermat is working with WPC to develop new technology. • Qi has 3 Power Specifications:- • Low Power Which deliver up to 5W use for smart watches. • Medium Power Which deliver up to 120W use for Laptop, Monitors. • High Power Which deliver up to 1KW use for Kitchen utensils. Wireless Charging Adapter • Some phone has inbuilt technology but some need an adapter. • There are some products in the market like Micro USB, Mini USB and USB-C. • You have to put that thin plate at the back of your phone and put your phone in regular case. • Plate receives current from Qi Charging pad to charge your phone.
