Source: The Indian Express BACKGROUND • After the years of dispute the historic event of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place where Babri Mosque was built in 16th century. • The dispute was over 2.77acre land where it is believed that mosque was built on the destruction of the ancient temple of Lord Ram. Source: NewsClick EMINENT PERSONALITIES WHO ATTENDED THE CEREMONY • Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived Ayodhya for Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan on August 5, 2020. • Uma Bharti, was also present during the puja. • Baba Ramdev also marked his presence and appreciated the efforts of the government. Source: India Tv INVITATION • Invitation for the Bhumi Pujan was sent to around 175 people amid the nation’s COVID-19 fight. • Each invitation of the ceremony has a security code that will work only once and if the guest exists the venue, they will not be allowed to come back.
