Story of Dussehra • In northern and western states of India Dussehra is celebrated as victory of god ram. • Shri Ram killed Ravana which is known as victory of Dharma over Adharma. Mysore Dasara • Celebration of Dasara include athletic competitions, military parades, and cultural performances. • Celebration include many events, One event of special durbar at Mysuru place. • Dasara known as Jumbo Savari. Image source - karnataka.com Kullu Dussehra • Kullu Dussehra is started by Raja Jagat Singh in 1637. • In this festival all deities are assembled at one place, 200 deities are brought to participate in Lord Raghunath’s rath yatra. • Instead of burning Ravana they conduct burning of Lanka.
