All about Holi, How India Celebrates INTRODUCTION • Holi is one of the significant celebrations of India and is the most dynamic of all. • The delights of Holi knows no bound. The celebration is commended over the four corners of India or rather over the globe. Holi • Otherwise called as Festival of colors. • the word 'Holi' draws grins and excitement among the individuals. • Holi likewise praises the appearance of Spring, a period of happiness and expectation. STORY OF HOLIKA • Magically, it commends the passing of devil Holika by Prahalathan, an aficionado of Lord Vishnu. STORY OF RADHA-KRISHNA • The legend of Radha and Krishna is firmly connected with this convention of hues on Holi. • Krishna, who had a dim composition was desirous of his darling Radha's incredibly light complexion. Feeling underhanded, he applied shading all over. BASANT UTSAV • Holi is celebrated as Basant Utsav in country India. It is one of the significant celebrations in India and is praised with outrageous excitement and satisfaction. SMEARING COLOR POWDER ON EACH OTHER • Though it is a Hindu festival, but it has no boundary in India religion wise and people smears color powder on each other on this occasion. THROW COLOR WATER ON EACH OTHER • Mostly the kids, use pichkaris (water throwing jet spray) to throw color at each other. THE HUMAN PYRAMID AND MATKA POT • The ‘Matka’ means an earthen pot and this is filled with butter milk. • This pot is held by ropes from a height and a human pyramid is made to break it. • It increase the unity in people.
