LABOUR DAY is an annual holiday 
celebrated all over the world that 
resulted from efforts of the labour 
union movement, to celebrate the 
economic and social achievements 
of workers.


1st May is the day called Labour Day in many 
countries throughout the world. The main focus of 
Labour Day is to celebrate the contributions that 
workers make to our society and to our economy. 
The first Labour Day was celebrated in India was 
in Chennai in the year 1923.
Labour Day is also called International Workers Day. 
Both names famous throughout the world.


The great thing about the name International 
Workers’ Day is the fact that it well known and 
deliberately celebrated and  May 1st is a day for 
bringing together workers not only nationally but also 
internationally into a coherent movement. On this 
day, workers realise that when they work together, 
they can achieve so much more than when they are 
divided.


Labour Day is another day when personnel are being educated 
regarding their legal rights, form processions within the roads, and go 
ahead and take chance to create demands about ways that their legal 
rights and dealing lives might be enhanced later on. Actually, Work
