Lenalidomide is aimed to treat patients with multiple myeloma (MM). It is an anti-cancer medication that comes in the form of capsules for oral administration. The lenalidomide capsule works in order to enhance the immune system that indirectly attacks the cancerous cells. This anti-cancer agent prevents the growth of new blood vessels within the tumor. It also restricts the formation of cytokine and growth factors. This is how it acts against cancer. This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents aged under 18 years.

WHAT IS LENALIDOMIDE?
• Lenalidomide is an active substance of Revlimid. Lenalidomide multiple
myeloma medicine belongs to a group of medicines which affect how your
immune system works.
• MM (Multiple myeloma) is a cancer which mainly affects a certain kind of white
blood cell, called the plasma cell.
These plasma cells collect in the bone marrow and divide, becoming out of
control. The disease has the potential to damage the bones and also kidneys.

• Thalomid (Thalidomide): Older drug shown to be effective across the
spectrum of myeloma disease.
• Velcade (Bortezomib): Bortezomib used across the entire spectrum
of myeloma disease.
