Buffing wheels are an abrasive wheel that carries 
polishing compound. These compounds give smoothness 
and polish metal surfaces. There are different types of 
buffing compounds. The wheel spins after the compound 
are applied to the buffing wheel. You need to continue 
applying the polishing compound to give surface or 
jewelry smoothness and a high shine.

 1. COTTON AND MUSLIN 
The soft cotton mBusUlinF bFuSffs are made of cotton, 
commonly used for a final polish with buffing rouge. 
Muslin buffs, like chamois or cotton flannel buffs, are 
similar to other cotton buffs and are much more effective. 
2. FELT BUFFS
Felt buffs are made of wool fabric, It is thick and strongly 
compressed. The medium toughness of felt buff wheels is 
ideal for all polishing and buffing processes. These buffs are 
suitable with any buffing compound for cutting or polishing.
3. SATIN/MATTE BUFFS
Satin and Matte finish buff is made from synthetic or nylon 
fibers attached with an abrasive buffing wheel material such 
as silicon carbide or aluminum oxide. Matte buffs are ideal 
to get a beautiful polished look on watch bands and other 
workpieces. 
4. ALUMINUM OXIDE FLAP WHEELS
Generally, all polishing tools combine the utilization of micro-
abrasives, abrasive compounds, or pastes for roughing, 
polishing, and protecting, wool berets and sponges to perform
