A New Wave of Indian Students in Abroad

A New Wave of Indian Students in Abroad If you haven’t noticed how a big lot of India’s youth has been a large player in international student mobility, or how a lot of parents are sending their kids to study abroad, let’s take a few minutes to look at the current scenario. From the year 2005 to 2015 the number of students studying internationally overseas has been doubled, with the highest mobility rate in the USA, followed by Canada, Australia, UK, China, New Zealand, and Germany. Despite the USA being at the top of the register, the statistics have shown a drop in the percentage of students pursuing their studies in the country; on the other hand, the figure remains stagnant in UK (i.e. – 6%). So basically the growth shown in the movement has been diverted towards Australia and Canada. The Reason behind the Movement Overseas The reasons for this hike are not without advantages. Ease of admissions, more study options, the better quality of education along with research opportunities and global access to immigration pathways have contributed to the same. But the bigger and more responsible cause for this rapid shift in the selection of education options is because of the many coaching options that have developed for such opportunities. From an entry-level – SAT or a much more prestigious GP entry exam with applying in MRCGP CSA for a fellowship, you can now be preparing for it all in India. Some of the prominent coaching centres of the country have had quite a few MRCGP CSAcases to say the same, as they offer a full course divided in two parts - course 1 and course 2 for GP entryexam training including MRCGP CSA. An equally giant role is played in favour of this change by the increase in scholarships available to international students in various countries abroad. Many countries like Germany allow their institutions to go as far as 100 percent waiver in tuition fees. The Influence of Institutions It is not at all surprising that there has been a high rise in the institutions within the country to meet with the market abroad. The institutions have been offering exam preparations with mock tests, resources, counselling, and even profile building services. A few of the leading institutions for the same are Jamboree, The Princeton Review, GREdge for engineering. They also offer test preparations along with foreign language tests, like TOFEL and IELTS as well as consultations. For MBBS in abroad, Orion Edutech, Welcare Overseas Education provide full preparation and extensive resource material and some institutes like Delhi Academy of Medical sciences offer even international fellowships like the MRCGP CSA cases shows on its website. It wouldn’t be startling if in the coming years a further increase in the scale is observed in favour of the current bias. The Indian education system has been questioned enough to address the present scenario, charter a solution in order to balance the scale back in the favour of our institutions and motivate home ground advantages to make them strong and convincing enough, just like the overseas opportunities for our students.
