How do I Properly Care for My Skin? By Beauty Expert

Brush instead of peeling  Perhaps you already know our post on dry brushing the body to strengthen the immune system. With a special face brush, you can also stimulate the delicate skin on your face and at the same time remove dead skin cells. The skin is better supplied with blood and looks noticeably fresher and softer. Just give it a try - this skincare routine takes no more than a few minutes and brings back to your skin what synthetic care products can't give it. How important is cleansing for beautiful skin? Daily cleaning is the basis of good skin. "Especially when using make-up and sun protection, it is extremely important to wash your face thoroughly in the evening. Otherwise, there is a risk of stains on the skin," says the skincare expert. According to a beauty expert, mild cream or gel cleansers are well suited for all skin types - ideally in combination with a soft washcloth or a very gentle cleaning brush.  Which peeling suits my skin type? Everyone, really everyone benefits from using peeling products with AHA or BHA acids. Most of them are in toners, i.e. face lotions. Don't let the word "acid" fool you. The ingredients in AHA and BHA products are gentler on your skin than the granules in mechanical peels. This is how the liquid peelings work: Both acids have an exfoliating effect, so they ensure that dead skin cells are removed more quickly, making the skin more radiant. Nevertheless, there are crucial differences: Peelings with BHA (beta-hydroxy acid = salicylic acid) have an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. The expert explains: "BHA acid can penetrate the pores and cleanse them from the inside. That is why they are particularly suitable for combination skin or oily skin that is prone to blemishes.“ AHA peels (alf-hydroxyxylot, glycolic acid, or lactic acid) affect the surface and are best suited to normal, dry or sun-damaged skin. They counteract sun damage such as hyperpigmentation and moisturize the skin. Which order should I observe in the care routine? Before you reach for the heavy cream, care products with a more watery or gel-like texture are used. These include, for example, the best Vitamin C Serum, boosters, and gel-based care products. Why should you keep to this order? Otherwise, the light formulas cannot penetrate the heavy care film of the cream and do not even get through to the skin - so they are ineffective. Should Every Woman Use Moisturizers? No, at least in the traditional sense of the word. Most people understand creams and lotions by moisturizers. Creams and lotions usually contain the oils needed to care for dry skin but are too rich for oily and damaged skin. Because they clog the pores and can even worsen the complexion. The keyword: anxiety pimples. So if your skin is not extremely dry, you can do without a moisturizer. Does eye care make sense? No, you can usually save yourself that! Only if the skin around the eyes is much drier than the rest of the face, is it worth investing in an additional cream?  Even then, conventional facial care is sufficient. Provided that it is free from fragrances and dyes, which can irritate the sensitive skin area and eyes. Often it is even a better decision to simply use the face cream for the eyes. Because, unlike many eye creams, it contains a sun protection factor in most cases. Too much sun is one of the main triggers for dark circles and wrinkles. How important is sun protection? Very important! "80 percent of what bothers us about our skin in old age is due to too much sun," says the beauty expert. The last step in your care routine for the day should therefore always be a product with a sun protection factor. It doesn't matter whether it's particularly sunny outside or maybe we're just inside. Because the UVA rays responsible for aging occur constantly regardless of the season and even penetrate glass.
