THE MYSTERY BEHIND UTAH MONOLITH DISAPPEARANCE.
THE MYSTERY BEHIND UTAH MONOLITH DISAPPEARANCE INTRODUCTION In the remote Utah desert, a mysterious metal monolith emerged and removed by an unknown group. The puzzle of how it emerged persists, but it seems to have solved the riddle of its disappearance. A few photos have recently appeared of four men employed at night to clear the rare, triangular pillar from its remote resting position in the desert of the western United States. He started the post with "If you’re interested in what exactly happened to the monolith keep reading because I was literally there." We passed one group as we hiked to the enigmatic monolith, while another group was there when we arrived, and after we got there they left pretty quickly. When they came up, we were considering packing up our things, so they could enjoy it as we did for themselves. I glanced down at my watch at this point and it was 8:40 PM. They gave a couple of pushes on the monolith and one of them said “You better have got your pictures.” He then gave it a big push, and it went over, leaning to one side. He yelled back to his other friends that they didn’t need the tools. The other guy with him at the monolith then said “this is why you don’t leave trash in the desert.” Source: www.bostonglobe.com THE REAL STORY – PART 4 Then all four of them came up and pushed it almost to the ground on one side, before they decided push it back the other when it then popped out and landed on the ground with a loud bang. They quickly broke it apart and as they were carrying to the wheelbarrow that they had brought one of them looked back at us all and said “Leave no trace.” That was at 8:48. In Stanley Kubrick's classic sci-fi movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" news of the discovery soon went viral around the world, with many noticing the object's resemblance to mysterious alien monoliths that cause tremendous strides in human development. The object's similarity to the avant-garde work of John McCracken, a US artist who lived in neighbouring New Mexico for a time and died in 2011, was pointed out by some observers. One hypothesis was that the monolith was a painting by a Southwestern artist who used to live and work in Utah, Petecia Le Fawnhawk. Source: durangoherald.com WHAT OFFICIALS SAY? Officials who uncovered the monolith did not reveal the location of the icon out of concern that hordes of interested sightseers would flock to the remote wilderness, but hundreds of adventurers soon tracked it down despite the increasing curiosity.
