Mozilla Firefox black screen issue generally occurs due to a bug from the 
recent update of Firefox. As explained by Mozilla, the black screen is 
caused because of a new feature called OFF main Thread Composting 
(OMTC). 
Disable Hardware Acceleration
• Open Firefox and type “About: preferences” in the address bar. Enter.
• Now scroll down and uncheck “Use recommended performance 
settings”.
• Under the performance uncheck “Use hardware acceleration when 
available”.
• Close Firefox.
• Reboot your PC.
 Start Firefox in safe mode.
 If the above method didn’t work for you, try below steps:
 Open Mozilla Firefox and click on three lines.
 Go to menu and click on Help. Now click “Restart with Add-ons Disabled”.
 Click on Restart from the pop-up.
 After restarting you will be asked to either “Start in safe mode or Refresh 
Firefox”.
 Now click on “Start in safe mode”.
 Check if your Mozilla Firefox Black screen issue is resolved or not.
 Update your current version of Firefox
 Open Mozilla Firefox. Now from the right-hand corner of the screen, click on 
the three lines.
  A menu will open. Click on Help and then “About Firefox”.
 Firefox will check for new updates automatically and will download it , if 
available.
 Now Restart your PC to save the changes.
