After completion of the PMP certification, you can gain more  
knowledge about project management by enrolling in the 
programs  of either PMP certification renewal or a PMP 
certification upgrade.
The PgMP certification if taken after a  PMP certification 
exam is  known as PMP certification renewal.
If the PgMP certification is taken before taking any other 
certification  exams, it is known as PMP certification upgrade.
The PgMP certification upgrade is more popular when compared 
to  the PMP certification renewal as it benefits a  PMP certification 
holder  in a number of ways.

certification  is held in higher regard by some employers.
The PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
