The SOLAS safe pass 

programme was developed 

to create a proper work 

environment and to 

manage correctly to reduce 

the risk and can ensure the 

safety at a construction 

site. Risks at the workplace 

can be prevented by 

different measures that 

mean that the work can be safely carried out. The worker should take a 

new risk assessment before every new task or before every new 

environment where work will be carried out. This will reduce accidents 

and or any health problems to a certain limit.  

 

Preventive work at construction sites is done via every employer’s 

systematic work environment management and through the joint safety 

planning in the work environment plan. 

 

The importance to take a safe pass course is to learn more about the 

construction site management and to ensure a safe and healthy 

environment in a workplace. All employers have to well aware to make a 

specific business plan to develop an effective safety culture. The proper 

culture will not simply occur, no matter how good the intentions. 

 

Solas Safe Pass is a SOLAS accredited safety awareness programme 

aimed at the workers in the construction site. The aims of the 

programme are to raise the standard of safety awareness in the 

construction industry and that all construction workers after the 

awareness programme can make a positive contribution to the 

prevention of accidents and ill health while working on the site. 

It is compulsory for every employee who works at a construction site to

In common Solas safe pass course will cover all the risks and accident 

prevention methods to create a healthy environment in the site.
