The European electric bus market is estimated to grow at an exponential CAGR during the forecast period. The rising acceptance of the electric buses owing to the growing environmental concerns along with the available federal and private funding are the key factors to propel the growth of the European electric bus market. In January 2020, the EU Commission had approved an increase of $326 million in German state aid for the purchase of electric buses. In July 2019, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU) had granted $15.6 million to the five cities namely Aachen, Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg, and Offenbach for the purchase of around 70 electric buses.
