Telecom companies reported a mixed set of revenues as the companies swung to profitability then witnessed a sharp decline in the revenue. Some of the companies such as Vodafone, Virgin, GiffGaff, Tesco, among others experienced a huge sharp fall whereas telecom players such as Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea experience a jump in the demand for the network. The key factors that flourished the growth of the telecom industry before the pandemic were increased usage of the internet among the population along with attractive subscription plans for the customers.
