Baking soda  It treats canker sores (or gingivitis) at the rate of half a teaspoon in half a glass of water. You can use this mouthwash on daily basis. A decoction of carrot tops used as a mouthwash also activates the healing of the oral mucosa: boil a handful of carrot tops in a small pot of water. Leave to infuse for 5 minutes.
