The Four Seasons of Year
The Four Seasons The Four Seasons What is a season? A season is defined by the changes in temperature, weather and length of daylight. We have 4 seasons in a year divided in 3 months each. Why do we have seasons? • Seasons are the result of earth’s position in relation to the sun. • As the earth moves closer or farther away from the sun there is a change in the season. Some places don’t have seasons. Why? • Due to the closeness of a place from the centre of the earth near the equator. • The position of these places does not change with the position of earth around the sun. • Hence, there is no change in the weather, resulting in no seasons. What are the four seasons? • Winter • Spring • Autumn • Summer Image Source : welovesolo.com Autumn Autumn(Postmonsoon) season, lasting from October to November. In the northwest of India.
