ISO 26000 is a guidance standard, not a certification standard like ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. Therefore, organizations do not get "certified" to ISO 26000. Instead, ISO 26000 provides guidance on social responsibility and encourages organizations to assess and improve their social responsibility practices. To measure the impact of adopting ISO 26000 principles and guidance, organizations should focus on assessing outcomes and improvements in their social responsibility efforts.
