The Indian government has expanded the scope of Tax Collected at Source (TCS) under Section 206C(1F) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, to include certain luxury goods. This provision, initially applicable to motor vehicles exceeding ₹10 lakh, now extends to ten new categories, effective April 22, 2025.
