HISTORY OF BERMUDA
TRIANGLE
What is BERMUDA TRIANGLE
The Bermuda Triangle is also
known as the Devil's Triangle or
Hurricane Alley.
It defines the mysterious region
where several aircraft and ships
are said to have disappeared.
It is in the western part of the
North Atlantic region amongst the
most traveled shipping lanes in the
world.
What is BERMUDA TRIANGLE
Many commercial and
private aircraft, as well as
ships, have to pass this
region.
Especially, ships crossing
through ports in the
Americas, Europe, and the
Caribbean islands has to pass
the Bermuda triangle.
Mysterious place
There are many stories about this
place.
Due to several disappearances relates
Bermuda Triangle to the paranormal
activities.
Various documented evidence shows
that those incidents were spurious and
inaccurately reported.
Bermuda Triangle has got an identity
as one of the mysterious places in the
world.
History of Bermuda Triangle
Many airplanes and ships had
disappeared in the region of the
Bermuda Triangle.
The first notable disappearances
in the Bermuda area appeared on
September 17, 1950.
After that several planes and
ships were disappearing like
magic in this mysterious place.
Notable incidents
1.Ellen Austin
In the year 1881, a derelict ship that
was placed on board and attempted to
sail to New York.
According to the stories, ship did not
return and lost in the Bermuda
triangle.
2. USS Cyclops
After departing the Barbados island after 4 March 1918,
a ship fully loaded with manganese ore with a crew of
309 went missing without any tress.
This is some of the largest loss of life incident in the
history of the USA navy.

3.Flight 19
The five TBM Avenger’s
training flight named Flight-19.
While practicing over the North
Atlantic region The flight never
returned to base.
4. KC-135 Stratotankers
On August 28, 1963, aircraft that was a pair of US Air
Force KC-135 Stratotanker collided and crashed into the
Atlantic.
The accident place was 300 miles west of Bermuda
Triangle.
Other Notable incidents
G-AHNP Star Tiger- January 30,
1948.
It was the flight from the Azores to
Bermuda.
Douglas DC-3 aircraft- December
28, 1948,
Connemara IV- September 26, 1955
It was a pleasure yacht that was caught
floating in the Atlantic south of
Bermuda.
Explanations to the Incidents
Many personalities published
several articles related to misshapen
at Bermuda triangles.
1. Sand's article
It was the first article to suggest a
supernatural element in incidents
near the Bermuda Triangle.
2. The Deadly Bermuda Triangle
Suggested that disappearances were
not related to a supernatural elements
but were a part of a pattern of strange
events in the region.

3. Paranormal explanations
Bermuda Triangle
sometimes connected to
the Atlantis mythological
story.
It is said to be the submerged rock formation which is in
the shape triangle that known as the Bimini Road off the
island of Bimini in the Bahamas.
It is believed that this incident is happened due to
paranormal activities.
Explanations to the Incidents
4. Natural explanations
In many cases, Compass problems are
reasonable for Triangle incidents.
Unusual local magnetic anomalies
may exist in the area leading to
misguided directions.
Gulf Stream also considered a cause
of these incidents.
Of course, Human error is considered
the topmost reason in these incidents.
