Possibly the most prevalent challenge with cellular 

testing services is the devices itself. There are many 

types of portable devices, like iPods, iPads, Android and 

Windows apparatus. 

VERITY OF SCREEN SIZE

Another barrier that QA testers face is that the difference 

in screen dimensions. A program may work well in an iPad 

and the screen will reveal everything that is intended to be 

displayed, but that program might not operate also on 

smaller displays. 

INEXPERIENCED TESTERS

Occasionally an organization's QA team only does not 

possess the expertise or knowledge to test their 

application. Also, an organization might have their 

developers testing their application instead of QA 

engineers.   

MULTIPLE CARRIERS AND CONNECTION 

TYPES

Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile along with AT&T are merely a 

few of those carriers which mobile testers will need to 

think about. Not many carriers will have exactly the exact 

same network criteria, amount of data or policy. 

LACK OF TIME OR TOOLS

Some organizations simply may not have enough time 

to thoroughly test their software. They also may not 

have the resources needed to properly examine their 

program. 

DIFFERENT TYPES OF APP

In addition to seeing if a program will work across carriers, 

devices and OS, testers have to know about the different 

sorts of applications. QA engineers must consider special 

demands of native apps, web programs and hybrid 

programs.
