With less than 100 days remaining for the first round of
JEE MAIN 2021 exam, a lot of students would be
nervous and panicking about the exam.
These 10 golden rules will aid the students to draw a
clearcut plan to crack one of the most coveted
engineering exams in the country. Few tricks of the
trade, if followed diligently can help the students sail
through the competitive exam with ease.
#1. Earn your Body and feed your mind.
The primary victim of cut-throat competition to get into
good engineering colleges like IITs and NITs is our health.
Studying under pressure and stress often results in not
eating properly and sleep deprivation which gradually
leads to poor performance in exams.
Students must ensure that they earn follow a healthy
routine during this last leg of their preparation by focusing
on nutrition, fitness and sleep. The burden of expectations
often causes depression among students. Doing
medication for 10-15 minutes on a daily basis can help
them in building confidence and a positive mindset.

Everyone talks about time management which is stupid
because you have no control over time. What you can
successfully do is manage yourself by following a daily
routine.
A daily schedule or routine or timetable helps you in
dividing the syllabus into manageable topics/concepts
according to your convenience.
#5. Follow a Concept driven approach
While studying a chapter or a unit, students must focus
on building on the basic understanding of concepts in
that chapter. If the basics are strong, solving problems
will be easy and fun.
#6. Practice alone but teach others
Do not study in groups. Practice solving problems
alone and in case you cannot solve a question in the
first attempt, try it again after some time using a
different approach. However, feel free to resolve
doubts of your friends and help them in understanding
difficult concepts, this is the best method of revising
things.
#7. Take Mock test daily
A sample test a day will keep all worries at bay. I know
you are all pressed for time but giving a mock test daily
at the same time as your final day exam will help you in
preparing your mind to perform at its peak during that
time.
#8. Identify and fix knowledge gaps
Analyse the result of Mock test daily to identify
knowledge gaps or weak areas to revise and fix them.
Practising and revising concepts we didn't do correctly
in the mock test should be a part of our daily routine.
#9. Create a Wall of Revision
Revision at this point should be quick and easy. Tear up
the pages of your notebook or create fresh notes on A4
paper sheets and paste it on a wall in your room. The
last thing before going to bed and the first thing after
waking up should be reading through our revision wall.
#10. Why sheet?
List down all the reasons why you want to crack JEE
and paste it in your room. It could be making your
parents proud or proving it to yourself that you can do it,
whatever the reason be, just write it down and let it be in
front of you to motivate and remind yourself, Why do
you want this so badly?
