The Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve is a protected natural area and the lung of this entire region. It brings beauty and diversity of animal and plant species and is one of the most visited tourist attractions. It was declared a Reserve on June 6, 1994. It has an area of 1124 km2 and truly amazing biodiversity.
