Russian Fishery Company Pollock Harvesting Strategy
Russian Fishery Company POLLOCK HARVESTING STRATEGY VICTOR OLERSKIY Member of the Board of Directors at Russian Fishery LLC Russian Fishery Company has implemented a new strategy to become a world leader in the harvesting and processing of pollock. This strategy includes a number of key priorities to be introduced over the coming years. Fleet Renewal Part of the strategy is a renewal of the fleet to increase operational efficiency. This includes plans for the construction of seven new su- per-trawlers by 2023, which will have improved productivity levels and higher ice classes. Not only will these vessels increase overall output, but employees will benefit further from significant improve- ments to their working conditions. Health and Safety Improve- ments Improved HSE is being implement- ed through new procedures and technologies implemented across the RFC fleet. Employees will also be granted more time off as pro- duction capacity increases. Victor Olerskiy High Value-Added Products The output of RFC will be expanded to include more high value-added products, including ‘ready to eat’ and ‘ready to cook’ fish products. New On-Shore Plants Two new on-shore processing plants are also being launched by RFC to increase the capacity of the company for offering finished products to the consumer.
