A MICH helmet, or Modular Integrated Communications Helmet, is a type of combat helmet used by the United States military. It was designed in the early 1990s and replaced the PASGT helmet. The MICH helmet has been in use by the United States Army since 2001 and by the United States Marine Corps since 2002. The MICH helmet is made of Kevlar and Aramid, and it can weigh up to 4.5 pounds. The Kevlar and Aramid materials make the helmet extremely durable and resistant to penetration.
